The young Indians like me were really happy for the fact that the birth of Electronic Media will help bring the corruption down by exposing corrupt bureaucrats and leaders and enhance awareness in society. I did also hope that it will help produce right quality of leaders for our nation. But has freedom of Media actually helped?
As far as corruption is concerned I don’t think any corrupt leader is afraid of being exposed by Media. The recent example is outcome of the case trials against Shibu Soren and the political drama played in getting him sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Jharkhand. In recent past only, Madam Mayawati asked her supporters to kick Media out of her state. Lalu Prasad Yadav is still the Railway Minister after being sentenced even. Even the south Indian leaders are not far behind. Everyone remembers the game plan of Devegowda duo – the way they compromised their honesty for the sake of political gain. Are Karunanidhi and Jayalalitha afraid of Media? No, they are not. No corrupt leader is afraid of Media because they know - Media now only cares about increasing its TRP. And it runs sting operations just to increase its viewer-ship and not to expose corruption. That too – these sting operations are telecast only if the leader is not ready to pay a hefty sum. Thanks to Narendra Modi for quitting the interview with Karan Thapar but Media could still use that story to increase its TRP.
The birth of Electronic Media I hoped would help Indian culture grow by expanding the limits of the versatile Indian culture and faith. But media has started working in the reverse way. In stead of working towards sharing the values and knowledge across the Indian states they have started digging out the roots of Indian culture by making the Indians feel that what we follow is nothing but blind faith. Most of the Indian electronic media at present is run and governed by foreign body. Entire world knows that India is a secular county and that’s what makes India special. But more than special that is what makes India vulnerable to Christian and Muslim countries eying on us to convert us and make us one of them.
What is India as a country- A Hindu country, a Muslim country or a Christian country? In my personal opinion it should have been a Hindu Country from the day it was divided and Pakistan was announced as a Muslim country. The generosity of Mahatma Gandhi to let this country be a secular was a blunder in disguise. Perhaps he could not realize that the human beings beyond 21st century would become emotionless machines and Indians would be called emotional fools. And the situation now has worsened when Media – the most powerful tool – is in hands of our rivals and they are working towards treading Hinduism. On one hand, the Muslim countries want to empower their faith by supporting terrorist attacks in India, On the other hand, the Christian countries by converting poor Indian villagers and tribes to Christianity. The Christian mindset is more dangerous than that of Muslims. Muslims always attack to kill people but Christians work as slow poison. They just increase their number which will help them empower and take over.
Adding to the same row, Media acts as a perfect tool for them by killing the faith of Hindus for their spiritual leaders or Saints. They have been targeting all the saints who start gaining popularity and those who help prosper Hinduism. In past Media ran rumors about Sri Sai Baba blaming him of child abuse. Sri Ramsukh Dash jee and Jagatguru Sri Kripalujee Maharaj were wrongly reported and criticized for having relation with his feminine disciples. Sri Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati was condemned and conspired by media and even jailed for baseless and false allegations of murder. Amritamai Maa was the next Media target being accused of child exploitation. Baba RamdevJee who is known for curing millions worldwide was criticized and blamed of mixing human bones and skull powder in his medicines. All the allegations so far have proved wrong. Now the same media is behind Sant sri Asaram jee Bapu, who has 2 crores registerd disciples and hundreds of samitis and ashrams across India and abroad. The killings of 2 children by fellow class mate in one of the Guruculs run by the trust has been highlighted by media as if it was done for some tantrik sadhana. The parents of both the children have no doubts on Gurucul and Media has been given all the clarifications and answers about their doubts but they are not telecasting the truth. Instead they are repeating the allegations again and again without doing any investigations. These are just conspiracies to defame Hindu saints and gurus so that the conversion becomes easy for them. I have personally visited many of these Ashrams and have seen lakhs of people attending the spiritual discourses which proves that Hindu culture is flourishing. The Christian countries can’t digest this fact and so use media to conspire against our holy places and saints and try to defame them so that the followers would refrain from their spirituals gurus resulting in weakening of Hindus.
Today is the time when we need to ask - Who gives Media the rights to show anything and everything they wish to? Who are they to attack on the character of our holy men? Why do they sensationalize the news just on false assumptions and guesses, without collecting facts and figures? What is the meaning of freedom of media? Why, the declaration of Sri Jayendra Saraswati as ‘NOT GUILTY’ does not appear in the limelight same as the allegation news?
Since it is just 14 years when electronic media took birth, we should consider it as a kid trying to grow to a Youngman. But there needs some grandfather to tweak the ears of this Youngman when he goes on wrong path and to show him the correct path other wise his whole life will be ruined. And so will the nation. So I urge, our constitution must play the role of grand father now before it’s too late.
Once that is done, ever the optimist, I hope that electronic media will support in upbringing of our education system. I hope it will help our poor peasants by giving them information on new modern methods of agriculture and cultivation. I hope it will help eradicate corruption. I hope it will free itself from the foreign hands. I hope it will stop doing business of TRP and it will start a business called unbiased reporting.

Languages Dividing Nation
Having been ruled for 300 years by Mughals and 200 years by English, Bharat became Hindustan and India. We as Indians have always respected and adopted all other languages without any hatred. That's why the versatality exists.
We should be more open to learn as many languages we can - to make us more communicative throughout the nation and world for personal as well as professional development. But scenario seems to be very different nowadays. The more we are getting educated the more we are demanding regional language influence over other languages as well as national language. And this is not being done by the whole lot, only a few so-called sons-of-the-soil are trying to earn name and fame by doing this.
It seems that in all the states an anti-Hindi group is working just to oppose Hindi and earn local vote bank. Still most of the official work through out Indian states are done in regional languages or English. English speaking people are always given more respect. Should this not be changed? There should be only 2 options either regional language or Hindi. Hindi should never be an outcast.
In Assam Hindi speaking people are killed and the central Government is helpless in doing anything. In Maharashtra same case.
First of all any Tom-Dick-Herry must not be allowed to start a party on his own. There should be a minimum qualification defined like PHD or Masters to start a Party and this should be implemented for all the senior people of that party.
The more political parties we will have, the more chances of being a hung assembly resulting in no benefitial decision being taken for nation. The coalition will try to please eachother just to complete the 5yrs tenure. The parties like MNS and others who divide us must be banned as soon as possible. Then only the difference will not explode any further and nation can be united and finally strengthened as Unity is always strength.
